My Father, Fred Wilbert, was the catcher for the Rheem MFG. Co. softball team before WWII. THey were part of the commercial league and played against NOPD, NOPSI, etc. The team broke up after the U.S. entered the war to make I05 Howisters and 81mm morters. After the war Rheem went back to making 5 gallon drums and 2 gallon pails. My dad retired from Rheems after 40 years of employment.
