When I was given this assignment and I searched like an explorer around the house to find a artifact worthy to be shown as a valuable piece of history my family brought along with them emigrating from their country. My artifact is a replica of the shiva family which showed three mythical gods/goddesses who were named Shiva (left),Parvati(right)and Ganesh (GAN-esha) (bottom)these gods are supposed to represent luck and good news to a family.I would understand why my mother and grandmother took it with them to go to America as for they left their country Guyana.They wanted to feel confident and ready to go to there.The object is from India and was made there.It was made out of coloring paper,paint,and wood.It has gold threads on it to make it stand out like a special object in the household.Its texture is a smooth curved wood that feels like waves
