My mom gave me a ring when I was twelve. It was a symbol of my mother and father's love. When my mom was coming to the US, she met my dad. He was 18, and my mom was 22.They got engaged soon after. When they got married, my dad gave her another ring. I feel like it’s very important, because I love my mom a lot, so I always have it on my necklace or on my finger.
