Marble Solitaire is a circular marble game that has holes to put marbles in. You can move marbles one space, and you jump over other marbles to eliminate them. The goal is to get there to be one marble left. It comes from my grandma’s father, who brought it over on the ship from Austria. He immigrated in 1893, through Ellis Island. It is used for people to have fun and play a game when they are bored. He had to choose one thing to bring over on the ship, and that is what he chose. I used to use it a lot as a child whenever I would go over to my grandparents house. It was passed down to my grandmother from her father when she was a child. I started using it when I was very young. Because it represents a part of my family that is from Austria. And it is also very valuable to my grandmother.
