Hummels are our great-grandma's presents from my great-grandpa. He didn't usually know what to get her until he got her a Hummel and she was so happy she had tears in her eyes. Our great-grandmother Gigi is German and Hummels are from Germany. They are from an area called Bavaria. Our great-grandfather, Pop, is Czech. He died a few years ago but Gigi is still alive and keeps these Hummels as a reminder of him. Our great-grandmother's name is Kathryn Humlhanz and Pop's name is Albert Humlhanz. The word Hummel means bumblebee in German, and it reminds us of my great-grandparents because of their last name and their German family. We love her.
