Combat Boots
These are my boots from when I served in the Marines. They are important to me not only because they are a reminder of my time in the service, but also because they are a reminder of all the places I traveled to and experiences I had, that I would never of had. But they are most important because they remind me of all the people I met. I had the opportunity to serve with people from all different walks of life and backgrounds, among them were 2nd generation immigrants, as well as interpreters that were serving as a means/hoping to secure their status as U.S. citizens.
