I joined the West Side Boys and Girls Club when I was in the 3rd grade. When I joined, I felt welcomed right away by the staff there, and I made a lot of friends quickly. Now I am in the 10th grade, and I have many people there, that I can call my family and very close friends. The community there is welcoming and warm. Whenever I needed help with anything, I got the help I needed. It didn't matter what it was, homework, friends, food, pets; it didn't matter; I got the help I needed. It was also a place I could call a second home. I have a place to eat, take a nap, use the bathroom, and just anything a home would need.
