In my family there’s a tradition that whenever a family member tries to cross the border, we go pray and offer some money to the Virgen De La Nube. After offering the money, we go to church and pray that everything goes well. My family believes if you offer money to the Virgen De La Nube she will let whatever you prayed for happen. We sometimes send money to the Virgen De La Nube to show her our gratitude and to let her know how much she means to us. It has been a tradition for my family and some Ecuadorian families to send money to the Virgen De La Nube.
