This a mini statue of the Virgen de Guadalupe. My sister bought it a church in Des Plaines that is known for being a patron of the Virgen de Guadalupe. My sister got the figurine because it capture both the culture she was raised in and the present in which she now is. It is not a traditional portrait of the Virgen de Guadalupe for that reason alone is why she got the statue. It represents the past and future that is her.
