The Gold Watch of Uncle Earl

This watch belonged to my Great Uncle Earl. He was a part of 1 of 4 brothers. Every other year the family of the 4 brothers duke it out in a series of fun and competitive games such as volleyball, cornhole, and euchre to win the watch. My Great Uncle Earl was the last to pass away of the 4 brothers. He passed away in the month of June due to natural causes. He was a Vietnam veteran who served towards the end of the war. He was one of the coolest guys that you’d know. I remember when I was a kid going over to my grandpa's house with my dad and all his cousins and Uncle Earl would always be there. They would be sitting , laughing, smoking the saturated leaves of a cigar, and drinking the bitter Jack Daniels with my grandpa. The stories that he would tell would be like an action packed movie happening in your head. It would always have something to do with the brothers getting into mischief and getting punished for it. To honor the memory of not only him, but Don, Dale, and Dennis, we fight for a weekend to win the grand prize: Uncle Earl's Watch.
