Story pending

This box was bought by my family back when they lived in Lebanon. It holds significance because it was purchased by my maternal grandmother on one of her last trips from Lebanon, before the war got very bad.  She, like all four of my grandparents, was born and raised in Lebanon, but decided to leave the country to start a new life in America. It became difficult for her to return to her home land after that due to the ongoing war there during the 1970s and 1980s.
My grandmother bought this box because she thought that it could remind her of all of the memories she had of Lebanon and remind her of her family that still lived there. After she grew older she decided to give it to my dad who my mom had just married. This gift meant a lot to him, and despite that, out of pure kindness in his heart he gave it to me. This gift constantly reminds me of my family's past and where I came from. The story of this box makes it invaluable to me, which is why I chose to present it.
