This is a picture of myself and my cousins, it was taken maybe 20 years ago. This image represents the new generation of our parents that started a new life in the U.S, our parents came to the other side in hopes for a better life not for themselves but for us. These are all my cousins from my dad's side of the family. Today, although we don’t all stay connected, thanks to social media we still get the chance to see what we are all doing. Some of my cousins today and myself have lost our parents due to cancer, jail, and new marriages. Whatever the cause of our relationship departure this generation of family has continued to work hard for a new family, education, and experience the most of life.
