The Accordion
My object is an accordion from 1862. My great, great, great, grandpa played it in the Civil War around the campfire in times of sorrow. The accordion is brown, beat up, and it's made of canvas and wood. (Some other things were used I'm sure but I just can't figure them out). This object is important to my family because we are strong and believe in freedom. My great (x3) grandpa has notes too that my uncle keeps. But they will soon be in a museum. My great (x3) grandpa fought for the slaves in America to be free. And they won. There were many deaths and injuries in the Civil War. But everyone fighting knew that they were risking their lives for a common argument. This object means a lot to my family because we've been through hard times too.
