Tank Missile and Bullet Shells

They are decorated.

My items are the decorated shells of a bullet and a tank projectile. They come from Israel. They were used in the 6 Day War in 1967. They are owned and connected directly to my grandpa. He was born in Morocco and his Jewish family moved to Israel after it was finally considered a country. As all Israeli citizens must, he joined the Army as a tank driver when he was 18. He fought in the 6 Day War and saved these and decorated them after the war, putting "Israel" on the tank one. This object is important to my Grandpa because it reminds him of Israel. He was proud to fight for his country and he will be remembered as an honorable soldier. After living in Israel for a while he moved to New York where he found my grandma and settled in NYC. He has these on his foyer table and it's one of the first things you see when you walk into his apartment.
