Souza's Family Ring
The object I will be describing is a beautiful golden ring that has my dad’s and papa’s Hawaiian name on it. Both my dad and papa share the same first name “Richard” but in Hawaiian it is pronounced “ Likeke”. This ring means a lot to me because it would carry my family history. It was given to my grandma, then she passed it to my mom, now it's my turn to have it. This special ring reminds me of my family and all the love we would share with each other. In the future, if I have kids I will pass it down to them. I want them to feel our family bond, tradition, and the stories that connect us across generations. I also want them to remember their elders and know what their names were. That is why this ring is so important to me.
