Snowboarding has always been a big part of my life since I started learning how to when I was three years old. I find it to be an important part of my life because it is something that I can bond with my friends and family over as well as have a lot of fun doing overall, it is, as well a big part of my identity. I see it as something important to my identity because it is something that I have been doing for a very long time and I am still doing it today. It is something that lets me spend more time with my cousin and aunt who we would spend part of winter breaks with upstate to go snowboarding/skiing. Almost every Christmas we would go to a house upstate to meet with our family and spend Christmas with each other, we would always bring our snowboards and we would wake up early to get to the mountain before it got too crowded. Snowboarding also lets me spend more time with my friends who just started learning recently. My whole family also does snowboarding so it is something almost like a tradition that we can all do together. Another reason that it is a big part of my identity is that it is something that I really enjoy doing and that I can look forward to it.
