Scarf

Group:

I picked my grandma's scarf as my object because it makes me unique in so many different ways, and it allows me to view the world differently by making me a fighter and a loving and caring person. My grandma's headscarf it’s white with a silk material. She gave it to me, so I could remember her amazing personality. My grandma gave it to me when I was 4 years old. When she gave it to me, she told me to try it on and after trying it on I have loved to wear it because it showed that I am a powerful person because I let myself stand out knowing  I might be accepted by society. Although some days I just want to take it off because I want to fit in and not get bullied for wearing it, I have realized it makes me and my grandma unique in various ways and that’s why it is important to me and family. With this scarf, me and my grandma have learned so many lessons. We have learned to be humble and appreciative. We have also learned how it feels to be isolated. From learning this lesson we would never assail or name call people or be rude to someone because of their faith beliefs. We have also learned that we have this shield that most people won't have and that means that  we can fight it off all the hatred. Without my shield I would not be the person I am today.  Also, I hope that all the people who have been rude to me because of my faith change and cease being rude to all the people who are different and unique.
