I was born in a well-developed southern city of China and grew up in an environment that is best described by a motto, which says studying hard and getting into the best university is the only option available to me for my dreams. And I did and was admitted to Tsinghua University in Beijing and later on came to the US to pursue my graduate degree. I got my PhD degree in finance from University of Minnesota, and eventually found a job here at Moody's. The picture I included is a very good illustration of my heritage because I was brought up in a culture that promotes rising up through hard work. Red lanterns are reminders of looking up for regular guidance and best luck in a person's life as demonstrated through a long history of China.
