My in-laws learned this recipe for beans and rice while they were still living in Puerto Rico. When they moved to the United States, they brought this with them and past it down to my husband. He loves it and it helps his family remember their heritage. To this day however, I refuse to eat it because one of the main ingredients is pigs' feet.
