My object is the Qur’an. It is the Holy book of our religion, Islam. I got it from a mosque. I got it when I knew how to read the surahs. My family reads it almost everyday. We use it to learn arabic, we use it to tell what God is telling us to do. We also use it to memorize surahs and duas so we can pray. The Qur’an is so precious that it must be read everyday.   Also it is the powerful book that God has made. The Qur’an is made just like a normal book but it’s not all that normal. Before you touch the Qur’an you have to do a thing called audu. A audu is when you have to use fresh water to clean yourself so you are clean.
I chose Quran for my immigrant object because when my family immigrated from Bangladesh in 2014 that is one of the things they brought with them to America.   Also it reminds me that I should be a proud Muslim. It is important to me and my culture because it’s a religious thing for Muslims to feel that way.  The Qur’an was past down from my Grandmother to my mother.
