The Holy Quran: A Thread Across Generations
When I first held our family's Quran, I felt its specialness. Its golden cover gleamed in the sunlight, and its delicate pages were written in Arabic script read from right to left.  My family bought this Quran many years ago and packed it with them when they moved to America. They left much behind, but they made sure to bring it with them. It wasn't just a book; it was part of our identity.  At home, we keep it on a wooden stand called a "wooden rahal." My grandmother perfumed it with rose water, and we always handle it with clean hands and respect.  During Ramadan, we read from it together after iftar and before sunrise. Even distant family members return to join in worship and share meals.  Our Holy Quran is more than just a religious book. It connects us to our family, our culture, and our past. It also teaches us many lessons and morals learned by people who came before us. It is a special thread that connects us all.
