Quilt

Relationship: Child of im/migrant

My great, great, great aunt made a quilt that lays in our guest room, it was handed down to my mother. This quilt took a lot of time I can tell, because my great great great aunt used whatever remaining cloth she had. We think it may have taken her seasons to produce it. My mom got it a couple years ago I thought it was just a stupid old blanket but, now I realize my misapprehension. Now when I think about this quilt I am filled with honor and self-satisfaction. It is a beautiful quilt that reminds me of how hard she worked and how concentrated on her goal she was. The fact that she spent so much time making it with so little material to spare tells me how much she cares. I am so proud to be part of this family.
