Pupusas
My grandparents were born in Honduras, years later they migrated to New York from Honduras. Speaking of, have you heard of pupusas? Pupusas are a special recipe in Honduras. A pupusa is a thick griddle cake or flatbread from El Salvador and Honduras, made with cornmeal or rice flour, similar to the Venezuelan and Colombian arepa. In El Salvador, it has been declared the national dish and has a specific day to celebrate it. The cheese they use to make this dish is called quesillo. I first heard about pupusas the last time I was in Florida, the 2 weeks I lived with my cousins. I also have it from a food cart. My mother and step dad like these kinds of arepas too. Would you try this dish?
