Mexican pottery mugs
My object, a collection of mugs, are meaningful because they exemplify our culture. My family and I went to Mexico to visit some relatives because we hadn't seen them since we've lived in New York City. The first person we went to see was my grandma's sister because she's the one we're always in touch with. While she was showing us some of her belongings, we noticed the mugs. The mugs are decorated in a unique pattern, having a red brick color and black on the top as if it spilled because it represents how some pottery in Mexico is designed. With those, we would drink coffee or hot chocolate, drinks that are enjoyed at times at night or morning as part of our culture. When we had to leave, my aunt gave us the mugs. Overall, the Mexican pottery mugs are significant to us because they are part of our family that live far away.
