Oxtail
By Romani Facey
Oxtail is a traditional Jamaican dish. It is eaten on special occasions. It is made from the tail of a cow. Sometimes my mom cooks oxtail on Sundays or on special occasions like Thanksgiving.
I chose oxtail because it is one of the traditional foods that my family eats. We use Jamaican seasoning like peppers, salt and other stuff. I love eating oxtail with rice.
My mom and dad were both born in Jamaica. I have five brothers and sisters. They were all born in Jamaica too. I am the only the one who was born in America. I am proud and I feel connected to my Jamaican culture.
