My object is a pot from Haiti. It was used for making rice and a lot of Haitian foods. My father Guy used it to cook for his family when he got home from school before the rest of his family when he was thirteen or fourteen years old. The pot is made of metal and is now at least thirty-four years old.
I chose this pot because there was pretty much nothing else for me to choose. It also has a lot of sentimental value to my father because it reminds him of when he was thirteen or fourteen years old and the Haitian foods he cooked for his family at that time. 
I wonder how old the pot really is, and where it came from.
I haven’t ever seen a pot that looks much like it.
