My parents are from Burma, but they’re not both Burmese. My mom is Karen and my dad is Arakhan. My dad is in the army and they met each other at the army. They got married, but my grandmother doesn’t want them to marry and they moved to a refugee camp in Thailand. I was born in Burma in Rakine. We moved to a refugee camp when I was a baby. We lived there in the refugee camp for six years. And then my family came to United States for our education and to start a new family and new life in the United States.
