Life in America can be very difficult for a single mother especially while raising a young black man.The object I would like to use to represent my story is a picture of my mom when she was younger. This picture reminds me that she does know my struggle of growing up in America as a black teen.This picture tells me she can relate to things going on in my life right now, my whole life I watched my mother support and provide for me and my sister. She’s always been there for me because she knows what it’s like growing up in America as an African American.
