Our family was used to moving around. First from Italy to Egypt and then Egypt to Israel. As a young adult I moved away from my birth land of Israel to the United States. Never intending to stay, I met and married and raised my family in The Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. I have lived here for 27 years and it feels like it was just yesterday when I moved from Israel. A day does not go by that I don't talk to my family still living in Tel Aviv. My parents are no longer alive, but I will always have their memory in my heart. The picture I have placed here is from my family's restaurant in Holon, Tel Aviv where I worked from childhood. My father always thought about better opportunities and perhaps this is why I left for America.
