Photo of my cousin
My cousin Teresa who lives in Ecuador, was very young and thought of studying because she wanted education to be a big part of her life. In Ecuador, life was really hard for her because at a young age Teresa had to work to help support her family. She was the oldest of three of her siblings which made it harder for her to study. She barely had time to have fun or to do anything that she wanted to do. Many people around the world should have the opportunity to study and to be someone in life. If you try hard I believe that you can achieve your goals in life. This picture of her in school with her teacher is important to me because it makes me realize that not many people have opportunities and freedom that we do in America. But you should fight for it and believe in yourself. Once my mom told me that my cousin said ''No matter what, I'll try hard to always do good in school and to give a better future for my younger siblings so they don't struggle like me''. One thing that hasn't changed about her is that she never gives up. Education is a big part of her life and for many people in Ecuador.
