My mother`s family is from Chile and this silver necklace originally belonged to my great grandmother. She was a beauty pageant queen in Chile and frequently wore this necklace to her contests and when she retired from that scene she passed it down to my grandmother who wore it at her wedding. Eventually, my mother obtained it from her mother and wore it at her wedding in the 90s. Nowadays it sits in a velvet case and my mother sometimes wears it on a special occasion.
