When I was born in Chicago, Illinois but raised in Van Nuys, California. I was brought to my attention enormously that lowrider cars are the biggest, most obvious Chicano symbol of L.A. My father and older brother would at first force me to go to the car shows that might’ve been an hour drive but, eventually I fell in love with the art and designs. I was interested in the exterior and interior of these cars, that I started drawing them since. The drawings then began to lead to more artistic ideas that ended up making my art go into a Chicano lowrider art institute. In this experience, I was finally able to be more social with the car show managers and customers. I ended up seeing my ultimate favorite lowrider which was the 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. Today, I still draw lowrider cars and bikes. My brother and father still tag along with the car shows and even got their own lowrider bikes.
