An item that is very special to me is my necklace.   My necklace is very special to me because my god-mother gave it to me for my first communion.   A first communion is when a person first receives the Eucharist.  First Communions are most common in the Latin Church.  It is a tradition of the Catholic Church. My family is Catholic.  I had my First Communion when I turned 13.  I had to go to church school for two years.  When the time came my family came out to witness my Holy Communion.  At least one hundred family members came to see me celebrate my first communion.  My family celebrated for the entire night.  My family took so many pictures, I felt like a super star.  My family wanted to share the memories that happened that day. When my parents noticed some of my family members leaving the celebration they decided to cut the cake. When they were cutting the cake my God-mother asked everyone to stop whatever they were doing.  I was presented the necklace and fell in love with it!  My necklace tells the story of my first communion and the story of who I am.
