I don't know my Immigrant story, but my father migrated from Virginia Beach to The South Shore region during his 20s. My grandfather was in the Navy which for my dad and his siblings growing up ment being stationed all over the east coast. Once my dad was a young adult like 22,23 he got sent to Brockton Massachusetts to live with his aunt and uncle due to family issues back in Virgina. Once my dad was settled in the south shore he made his life here. Meeting my mom, getting his job, getting his GED. Then once he got a place with my mom they had me and brother. While he and by extension my brother and I have rarely seen his family back in Virgina he constantly refers to his old life and has told me many childhood stories about the differences between then and now.
