I chose these photos because it is the closest thing I have to getting to know my ancestors. My grandfather's great grandparents traveled from within the state and across the country to be together. His great grandmother Rosanna O’Brien was born on March 2nd 1862. She came from Bellananagh,Cavan Ireland on a boat and traveled to Pennsylvania during October 1st of 1882. She was then married to my great great great grandfather Charles Russell Wyatt on October 30, 1882 in Rhode Island. Charles was born on May 5th, 1857 in Bangor Maine. The two of them  then moved to Massachusetts to start a family. Rosanna passed away on July 20th,1939 in Dighton mass,and Charles passed away on  December 1st ,1911 in Dighton mass.I love learning about my family's ethnic culture because I didn’t know about any of it until I had done this project.We love to celebrate our culture by spending every St. Patricks day with family and friends. We help my grandfather with making dinner which includes corn beef , cabbage, and potatoes. We Wear green, sing Irish songs, and tell stories as a family. St Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite times of the year because I have such loving fond memories of it.
