My cross was given to me on my baptism by one of my family members. It reminds me of my connection with my family and God and how no matter what God will always be with me watching over me. Also, it makes me remember that I am a child of God, and that whatever I'm going through, I will get to the end of it and be better for it. Finally, it reminds me to always try to be my best self and help others when I can. 
My cross has a silver edge and a black interior and a tag that says my name and has the date of my baptism on it. I think that the black interior is to represent that what matters in a person is what's on the inside and not the outside. Also, I think that the silver edge is to represent the silver lining and to know that there always is one.
