My object is a book my Grandma and Grandpa made called Math Matters: A Pedagogy of Remediation. They worked on the book together in 2005. They were already married at this point but this is one of my Grandpa’s books. To my knowledge, he’s written five books altogether. I wasn't born when he published all of his books but when I was younger and he wasn't as sick I would watch him use his typewriter and he’d let me type random stuff all the time with it. I remember that whenever I saw him and my grandma I would always learn something, He really just wanted to teach me everything he knew. When he got bedridden, that didn't stop him at all. He would still call me and teach me new stuff every time. It was really incredible how much he knew about the world. One day I hopefully aspire to not only get a doctorate but to become just as smart as he was. He affected my life so much, it just didn't feel the same when he passed away. But I'm so glad I had the chance to talk and meet with him, I know I might not have gotten 100% of what he was but I know that He always tried for me and my sister no matter what, even if he wasn’t feeling the best. My grandma is such an amazing person in my eyes. She's such a kind and really knowledgeable person, whenever my Grandpa taught me something she would also do the same, she's still alive and I take every chance I can to learn something from her.
