Lion Head Necklace

Partner:

I don't really have a migration story but I did move once. I literally moved three blocks from my old house in December of 2015. It was during the move that I stole the necklace from my dad because I thought it looked cool. Eventually he saw that I had it and said I could keep it. He told me it was kind of funny since he had stolen it from his older brother when he was younger. It was easy and fun going to a bigger house and it took us like a month to be fully moved in. It was in really bad shape at first, the previous owners had been evicted and left a lot for us to clean up; eleven windows were broken, my room had scribbles all over the walls and ceiling, there were toys in the gutters and fireplace and BB gun pellets everywhere in the house and yard. It only took my dad about half a year to fully fix it and my sister and I helped him with painting and various smaller projects. So now the necklace reminds me of working together to fix up our new home when I see it.
