Kinder transport passport
Relationship:
Child of im/migrant
In 1939 my Grandfather and his younger sister were put on a train by themselves from Nazi Germany to England. This is the passport the Nazis issued for him to take with him. He was 8 years old at the time, and his sister was 6. You can see the date they entered England on the passport, that was the 20th of April 1939. They were one of the last people to leave Germany before the war broke out and the borders were closed. He still lives in England today where he met my Grandmother and had my Dad.
