Keychain
This keychain was a souvenir given to me by my grandma when I visited her retirement home in Hong Kong. Our family usually visit relatives overseas around once every ten years, which makes this keychain even more significant. The last time I visited my grandma was last summer. Many would think that this keychain looks ordinary and insignificance. That may be true for the keychain itself, which is made of cheap material. However, every time I use my keys to unlock the front door of the house, the keychain symbolizes my grandma overseas. Just staring at the keychain, I can remember what my grandma said to me before my family and I left her retirement home. She would say “I pray for your safe trip back to America and you can hopefully return to me as soon as possible.” Losing this keychain would make me feel depressed because of its strong connections to my grandma overseas.
