Jewlery Box
My object is called a jewelry chest i used to play with it as dress up, and for fun. Its made from stone and glass, and is used to hold necklaces, bracelets, any sort of jewelry you would like. I got it in Boca Raton, Florida, my auntie Matha gave it to me to keep before she passed away a couple weeks after. I connect with this object on Christmas (Hannakuh) because my auntie Matha was Jewish and that was one of the objects she kept while the Holocaust was going, and her mom gave it to her on Christmas! This object is important to me because my auntie Matha gave it to me and it symbolizes her faith/religion. The jewelry box connects to my culture because it has "the star of David" on the top lid part of the jewelry box. This means a lot to me and my family because it symbolizes our faith, and helps us remember how special this box really is even if it may not look like something amazing.
