Jesus Last supper portrait
In August or the beginning of September of 2021, I called my grandma and asked her some questions about the Last Supper portrait that she gave me when I was twelve years old. The portrait was given to me by my grandma when I went to Mexico back in 2017 for the first time. My suitcase was kind of heavy due to the portrait I got from her.The portrait illustrates an important part of my life since it's from my grandma, and everything I get from grandma is like a treasure that I get to appreciate. The reason I feel that what I get from my grandmother is a treasure is that she lives in Mexico. I don't get to see my grandmother often since covid cases are going up now but it makes it challenging because you can't just go see her any time you want to. It's sad because I really want to see her and like to be able to talk to her. So this portrait makes me think of her. This is important in my family because it was where Jesus' last supper was and said, 'Take, eat; this is my body. ' And he took a cup and gave thanks. Having the portrait near the dinner table is meaningful because it is like having dinner with Jesus and his disciples. This artifact is also important to other people in my family because it makes us closer and represents a good relationship between all of us. One day I hope this portrait will make other families closer since I still wanna keep it to myself for more generations. This portrait really brought me and my family to have a good relationship with each other, but not everyone has the ability to let that happen.
