People say “Health is wealth.” The health insurance cards my family and I got when we first came to New York really helped us in our first emergency. My father-in-law had a heart attack and went to the hospital in an ambulance. Because we had health insurance, my father-in-law got excellent care. The doctors and nurses were very friendly. They tried their best to help my father-in-law. Finally, my father-in-law felt well enough to go home. My husband came to pick us up. Now whenever I look at my health insurance card, I remember the care that my father-in-law received and that patient care is a priority here in New York.
