Hawaiian Spicy Ahi Poke
The object that represents my culture and family is a very common traditional dish called Hawaiian Ahi Poke bowl. Poke is a traditional dish that has many different tastes and flavors to it. It’s a tuna type of dish that is mixed with onions, green onions, and sesame seeds. My family likes the spicy ahi poke bowl, mainly because we eat that dish at big dinners. We’ve been eating this traditional dish for a long time now, and now my family has really grown to love seafood. This dish means a lot to my family because it's been around so long that its daily food for us. Back when my great grandmother moved here, she told me that she tried this dish. At first it was okay, but then she has grown to like it. After that, generation after generations of my family started treating it as a traditional dish. Though it’s a very common dish in Hawaii, it represents my family in a big way.
