Greek Passport

My family is from Greece but when I was young we moved to England. My parents have always tried to get me and my sister what we want but England didn't offer the things we were looking for. All my life I have been a dancer and NYC had more opportunities than any other city. We applied for a Visa in the Spring of 2013 and we waited to be called into an interview. However, due to government shutdown in America the interview was not until the end of January 2014. We had to go to London for the interview, we had dressed up all nice to make a good impression but the interview was a lot simpler than we thought. It went really well and we got the Visa. That summer me and my sister went to Greece and my parents were in NY looking for an apartment. Then we came back to Liverpool and packed everything, to move to the States. That summer we traveled with a passport that had a new page in it, a green page that said United States of America and had a picture of Lincoln in the background. To learn stories about immigration such as this one is like taking a history lesson about America. These stories are what made America, they represent all of the people. Just like this passport, it represents the life that I had before moving to the U.S and the life that I have now. This object represents who I am.
