My object is from my dads side. It’s my great grandmas locket. It was given to me by my grandma after my great grandma passed because I was the first grandchild. She wore this locket with her on her way from Germany. She always kept a picture of her mom in it, which is my great great grandma. I wear this locket and keep a picture of my grandma and I in it to honor her and the journey she made. This locket represents her safety in coming to the U.S and starting a new life while keeping a part of her history.
