Grandpa's Guitar

My Grandpa, Rodney Wayne Johnson, was born to a single mother and later adopted by a large family of 9 children. His dad was the local pastor and a large diesel engine mechanic, and his mom did a lot of work through the church for the community. They raised my grandpa to work hard, go to church, and play music, with lessons starting around the age of 6 for guitar and piano. He played in the school band and a few garage bands. He wanted to be a rockstar until he met my grandma at 18. He then decided to join the Air Force for a more stable life. He kept music as a hobby. He married my grandma shortly after, and she already had my uncle, who was 2 when they married. He was in the Air Force until my mother and her sister were born. He moved to his hometown, Little Rock, Arkansas, so they could all go to school without moving around. He loved his guitar and piano; he never stopped playing them, until the day he died. He wrote songs and sang well as well. He loved music and taught my uncle to play. He grew up and was in a band of his own as a teen. My stepdad was a part of this band, and they played together. Now, the guitar has been passed down to me.
