Grandma letter
Three years ago, just two days before my 15th birthday, my grandma had to move to Seattle. Before she left, she made sure to drop off my gift. I still haven’t opened it because it’s the only thing I really have to remember her by, especially since we don’t have any pictures of us together, which I regret not taking any. I was really sad because we were with each other almost everyday, so I had to get use to her not being there no more. It feels so special to me, like a piece of her is still here. Every time I see it sitting on my dresser, all the memories we shared come rushing back. It’s a reminder of her love and everything she meant to me, and I’m afraid that opening it will mess it up since we don’t see her often.
