My object is a recipe called favorite. Favorite comes from my great grandma anne. She started making it for my grandma, and my grandma started making it for my mom and aunts, and now she makes it at family gatherings and events. Around the time the recipe was created, it didn't have a name; but when my grandma made it for my mom and aunts, it was their favorite food. “Favorite!” it wasn’t nameless anymore. My grandma usually makes favorite on family gatherings/events like birthdays or holidays.
I chose favorite because it's kind of a famous recipe in our family and everybody really likes it. Favorite is connected to anne because she created the recipe of favorite. Her parents came from Lithuania and went to the US through Ellis island.
My grandma said that she has no idea where the recipe came from or how Anne came up with it. My grandma said she thinks Favorite is also based on the jewish food baked ziti. I really wonder how Anne came up with it and why she came up with it too. Favorite is an amazing dish and I personally think that it’s really cool how this dish got passed down/made for my grandma, my mom and aunts, and now, me and my brother.
