FANESCA
My object is a food called “Fanesca” from Ecuador. All Ecuadorian families make this delicious meal once a year in April. It’s a tradition. It’s a soup prepared with salted fish, vegetables, and a number of grains. My family is Christian. This food is eaten during Easter week. We don’t believe in eating meat of any kind during Easter week. I chose this object because I’m Christian. I remember having Fanesca every year at Easter time in Ecuador. I got together with my mom, brothers, wife and children and we ate Fanesca. In my country it is very popular. In this country every year, for Easter, my family and I go to an Ecuadorian Restaurant to have Fanesca. It is delicious but not the same as in Ecuador.
